Even after all this time, it was amazing that Murdock's belongings fit into two duffle bags. Or mostly fit. He wasn't counting the few boxes the truck had ~~handwavily~~ picked up earlier. What he had now were the things he didn't trust to other people. Like the laptop. And Socky the sock puppet.

Waiting for the cab was the hardest part. A game of fetch kept Houston occupied while Murdock occasionally snapped pictures of Fandom with the disposable camera he'd picked up.

When Gwynn got to work early Saturday morning, the first thing she noticed were that two of the stalls were empty. She looked everywhere around the area, but she couldn't locate Bold and Smudge.

When she had to accept that they were gone, she went into the office to call Dani and let her know that the two horses were missing.

Once that was done, she went back out to take care of the rest of the horses.

Beware of the really protective ranger today.

Mary was always a prepared for new arrivals, but today she'd done a little bit extra to get ready. She got out from behind the front desk and was waiting by the door with her clipboard, so that anyone arriving without a reservations would instantly find out that there were vacancies available.

Maybe, one day, Mary would think to actually invest in a vacancy sign to advertise her business.

Tim had given Robin the day off so he could ~~freak out~~ greet the new students.

So instead of a talking frog, the Dread and Puissant Champion of the Fae was minding the store. And talking on the phone.

"Yeah, yeah Neil we've got that one. Wait what? Well how do I know which Ratman it is? There's more than one? It's just, Ratman. Not Ultimate, or Extraordinary Ratman. Not Dark Detective, just Ratman. We have a website you can....oh wait it might not exist yet there."

Fish have a reputation for making people feel very calm when they watch them. You find aquariums in dentist's offices, business offices, and even government offices, for this very reason. One of the most popular screen savers for a computer is that of fish, swimming slowly back and forth.

There are experts, however, that contend this doesn't work for anyone with an overactive mind or imagination.

The voting was in, the Discus Fish had won, but Aphrodite had declared a tie and gotten all three kinds of fish for her aquarium. They seemed happy enough, swimming around the sunken ship she'd put in the fish bowl, and blinking at the diver as they swam past him.

The rest of the free 'Rub My Fishie' vibrators were on the shelf as a sale item, for five dollars a piece.

Aphrodite herself was now sitting in her chair, watching the fish, tapping her fingers on the arm chair.

It had been fun putting the aquarium together, but she was wondering when the fish were going to do something or when the calm was going to kick in.

Working on a Saturday. Jeez oh man. Rachel, however, would bravely bear the trials of being an important businesswoman and landlady proudly, with only minimal complain and sighs. After all, she was definitely in the loop enough to know that new teachers for the school's semester would be arriving today, and she had an apartment that was open for rent, and she wanted it filled right up. If there were new people moving in and it didn't get rented up, well, then, that was just a big stupid failure, and she couldn't have that.

She even went and made sure the apartment was all decent and presentable after Devereaux moved out, too.

Now to just wait for someone to come in, looking for a place, and take it.

Tino made the mistake of flipping She-Ra for bar duty tonight.

Tino didn't realize that She-Ra took him literally and, one airborne somersault later found the super heroine hanging out in the lounge with a coke.

Kyle seemed to be rushing through his duties in the morning. Apu tolerated it for as long as he could, before snatching the broom away.

"Go, Mr. Reese."

"Are you sure?"

"You are driving me crazy," the poor assistant manager said. "Go now. One hour, no more."

Kyle didn't need to be told twice. He hurried up to the Welcome Picnic for an hour, but while he was gone Apu was there to take care of all your shopping needs.
