Cordelia had opened the store today, but not in her usual cheery manner. Not even shoes and accessories could lift her spirits today.

No, today she was sipping at a glass of ...something from below the counter, while drafting an email to Oz from her world. She figured he should know just what his girlfriend and that moron Xander was doing behind his back.

It was the start of a new month which meant Loki had to actually do some fucking work. It meant balancing the books and making sure shit evened out and that he didn't have to go break any kneecaps because someone didn't pay their rent. It meant allotting money for any maintenance and seeing what was leftover to put towards the building and his fucking paycheck.

Loki never thought himself a businessman except when he was holding a sword or a fucking gun. Now, he was holding a fucking pencil, papers scattered around and a calculator out.

He had fallen so fucking far. What a twerp.

Hinata was... much subdued after the weekend even if it was mostly handwavy ‘cause the mun wasn’t feeling well, augh and set out the tea and sweets almost on auto-pilot before curling up with her cat, and a book.

It was that sort of day, even if she had to be out and about. Hinata wasn’t brooding, exactly, but even the fact that Kurenai-sensei’s had been to visit couldn’t overcome the fact that every time her father showed she felt like she’d failed.

Again.

Book Haven is Open.

"--no, what are you talking about, geez, I totally didn’t forget to tell you ‘bout the weekend, Sakura." Ino was, um, being a good employee today. Yes. Clearly!

While talking on the phone. Shush. The plants were still being taken care of. That was the important part, right?

"Asuma-sensei came, yeah, and Dad was supposed to but—uh huh—right, he had a mission, do you know if he’s back yet?" She hummed while listening. "What? No, I don’t think that. I know he wouldn’t—oh God you're so stupid sometimes, I--"

Mary was in a great mood this morning. Everything had gone so well over the weekend, including her dinner with that nice fellow she'd met at the cocktail party. Maybe that's why she still had such a big smile on her face.

The troopers were walking on eggshells around Gibbs today. Mainly because of what happened to Ralph.

For Ralph's part he wasn't sure exactly what happened. He just thought it would be funny to replace Gibbs's regular coffee with Folgers Crystals.

Unfortunately Ralph didn't know rule number twenty three: Never mess with a Marine's coffee if you want to live.

Also? Gibbs's headslap is still very effective through a trooper's helmet.

The trooper station is open. Just beware of the grumpy Gibbs.

Much to the dismay of the staff, Lion-o explained that the rest of the Thundercats weren't able to visit over the weekend because they were still really busy building a new Cat's Lair. Still, he had a really nice weekend, even if it was a little quiet. It would have been even nicer if Snarf hadn't been glaring at him and whining that they should have gone back to visit the Thundercats and help out a bit.

Once Snarf got the cheese grater on his side, it didn't take long for the rest of the staff to start asking Lion-o why he didn't just go to visit the Thundercats if they couldn't come to him. "Alright already!" said Lion-o. "I'll go visit them this weekend and see if they need help."

A new shipment of hats arrived and a new order of tinfoil hats. Irulan liked the hats well enough but she wondered why the people of Roswell needed so much of it.

The Imperial Brim is hiring.
Monday or Saturday shifts available.

Why, yes, Jono did bring his guitar and his amp in with him to work, today.

There was music, after all, which was relatively shiny and new, and he was hell-bent on playing those CDs again and again until he could play it by ear on his shiny red Strat.

Repetitive? Yes. But if anyone was actually in the store long enough to listen to the same CD more than once, he would probably even take requests. He was nice like that!

[The OCD ran away with the spoon today. Ooooopen is as open does.]

Ellie arrived at the stable to take care of the horses even though she'd much rather hide in her room and mope all day. But that wouldn't be very helpful.

"At least you won't leave, right?" she said to Kally as she fed her some apple slices. Talking to a horse about her current issues seemed a lot easier.

The Gig was open.

Didi was both sad to see Del gone again, and happy the visit had gone as well as it had. She didn't see her family as often as she might have liked -- it was interesting to see how she slipped into the big sister pattern even as a mortal.

In honor of her sister, she set up a special promotion:

Raven had been a little apprehensive about leaving the safety of the school, but she told herself she was being ridiculous. Sebastian was gone, just like all the other visitors to the island. Still, she teleported to work instead of walking, just in case.

Decadent Delights was open, with a mildly paranoid empath behind the counter.

Geoffrey was his usual cheerful self, of course, though the more observant might notice that he had something of a bruise on his jaw and that his words were coming out just a wee bit slower than usual.

Ask if you like. He might even get creative with the answers, considering.

Jack was still trying to deal and trying to be happy about things. It was a work in progress, much like trying to set the webcamcorder thing up to broadcast an image of the weather outside.

He was following the instructions, but it kept displaying a blank image. It would probably take at least another 20 minutes before he figured out the lens cap was still on.

Fiona hadn't really spoken to anyone. Fiona was, in fact, sort of avoiding people. That said, she couldn't avoid her job, or at least her work ethic wouldn't let her, and so she was here, sitting at the desk, completely unable to focus.

She was making a very good show of pretending to focus, however. You'd actually have to look at her notes to see that she'd written the same thing three times. You'd also have to know Japanese, Italian, and a Mandarin, but that was besides the point.

The Law offices were open.

Rose was still in a less than stellar mood at the gym.

Which was why one of the leotarded instructors was teaching cardiofunk today.  She hadn't even bothered to ask Rose about it.

Rose probably shouldn't have been wondering if she could get away with that excuse all the time.

[No OCD cause it's up laaaaate.  It has been a stupid day.]

"So you were pretty much on your own this weekend, huh?" Marshall asked.

Tino nodded. His fellow employees (save for Robin) had left him to choke on the busy.

"I would have done the same thing to you, probably, if I had worked."

Tino gave Marshall a thumb's up. Okay. It wasn't exactly a thumb's up. It was another finger.

[Oh hay, I almost forgot to post this]
