It probably looked like she wasn't doing anything as she sat in Cable-san's chair with her eyes closed.

That, however, was wrong.

Meditation was the goal for today and, after her class, it became a game to see how far in she could reach in herself. Which, admittedly, wasn't the same as finding out how far she could go on someone else.

But Ino doubted she'd get a volunteer to let her try that on the island.

William had planned to spend his free time during his shift at work doing a little bit of online research.

Unfortunately, that plan was rather neatly foiled by two things: his introduction to the phenomenon of popup ads, and a proliferation of fruitcake found tucked away on various shelves.

"Why on Earth would I even need a turkey costume?" he sighed, clicking the popup closed for what felt like the millionth time.

Fixer-Uppers was open. And not in need of turkey costumes. Or fruitcake.

Perhaps his class earlier that day had been to blame for his amusement, but Alexander couldn't help getting a kick out of the antique bicycle he'd pulled out from the mass of things around the store. It was an understatement to say that this was in a completely different ilk than the bikes they had in class.

And, it should be noted, Alexander was smart enough to not hop right on and give it a try.

Not inside the store, anyway.

As there was beginning to be every Wednesday, there was a HankCo. sign and a small stack of business cards sitting on the counter, listing all of the HankCo. things (notary public, private investigator, puppet repair, etc.) that weren't normal Turtle & Canary business.

At least, it started on the counter. It very quickly ended up on the floor along with some of the other things from the counter when Hank started ranting and raving at Apu and the panda. The diatribe lasted several minutes, after which Hank ran out of breath. As he started to calm down, and the red faded from his face, Apu and the panda slowly turned to go back to their business.

"And THAT," he called after them, "is why unions are super-duper-icky scourges that suck the very LIFE out of our beloved free market system!!!" After all, workers' rights cut into the bottom line.

Another week, another day at work for Kate. It hadn't gotten old yet, and she liked having somewhere to go, especially with the random moods she was having. Yesterday had been a little taxing and a little weird and although she'd gotten rid of some of the effects of that with a long phonecall with Zach last night, she'd still woken up a little restless this morning.

Today's movie wasn't about romantic relationships and she was happy about that, at least.

Shelley currently resembled a faux-fur, multiple animal print... blob. She was looking for clothing that would make a statement as she slipped and stumbled along home in the snow and ice. The purple leopard print hat and the classic zebra striped coat seemed to be working, but the snake scaled leggings were out of place.

Such hard choices to be made...

Pixie Dust was opened for business!

Lindsay was still trying to find modern music she liked. That search really had not gone well. A lot of the music from this era just wasn't the same as the music she was used to.

Today, though, she discovered another modern band that she thought she could enjoy: Pearl Jam. As she listened to one of their albums in the store, she figured out they were pretty good.

It was turning out to be a weird day. Lion-o had been gawking at the white lawn chair, wondering if Lacey was planning to add an outdoor dining area, when the bus boy randomly suggested that Lion-o should cut his hair.

"Why?" asked Lion-o. "I'm perfectly happy with my hair the way it is. It would look weird if I had less hair." He had hoped that the kitchen staff would agree with him, but they were too busy trying to figure out what to cook with the huge delivery of mission olives and green apples.

Tonight, Tino was telling no one to suck it. In fact, he wasn't talking at all because Alex had gotten the duct tape out and had taped his mouth shut for fun. Tino didn't look too pleased but it was hilarious watching him try to take the tape off only to find it attached to his hair, making it extra painful.

Alex thought he could be forgiven for his laughter even if Tino looked miserable.
