Alexander was hoping he would have a cat-statue free day at work today, and things were going quite well until he found what he thought was just a random, out of place, polka-dotted pole hidden behind some other things. But then he went to lift it up and move it and it got stuck, and further investigation revealed...

"Ack!"

The cat and its impossibly long tail fell to the floor and then Alexander, carefully, nudged it underneath a dressed with his toe. The tail, naturally, was still sticking out, but Alexander reasoned wit himself that this just meant he could keep a closer eye on it in case it decided to do anything suspicious.

He really needed to get a job with fewer random cats involved.

"This sequined hot-pink bikini top is freaking AMAZING!" Shelley exclaimed, holding it up to the light and admiring the sparkle.

Yep, it's getting a little warmer, so totally time to start thinking about new beachwear.

Kate was still largely just wanting to go home to Kansas, but at least she'd found herself a brief distraction for today. She'd first spent part of her morning persuading a couple of her coworkers into doing her bidding, and then supervised them as they updated the marquee for the day:

They'd had to push the smaller letters pretty tight together to make it all fit on there and technically, it wasn't free so much as it was something Kate had paid for in advance, but whatever. She was pleased with the marquee and snapped a photo of it on her phone before going in and getting to work. Even if a certain Mr. Young and his possible post-birthday hangover didn't wander through this part of town today, she'd have proof of her gift of sorts.

Lindsay was a somewhat bored today. As a result, she found herself leafing through a music magazine. She read about some of the latest music trends and was disturbed by the girl with a dollar sign in her name. What the hell was that? She was not going to listen to that CD.

She did decide to try a Pink CD, though. Surprisingly, Lindsay kind of liked it.

When Nathan strolled into work, Tino immediately cued the band up for a rousing rendition of 'Happy Birthday'. And while it wasn't Nathan's birthday any longer, he couldn't really even pretend to be insulted because he'd never had a zombie band sing to him. Hell, he hadn't had the fucking birthday song sung to him in nearly a decade.

Tino even had a cupcake with a single candle in it ready for him. Nathan wasn't sure why Tino was being so fucking nice but hey, free food for him. He blew out the candle and gave Tino a suspicious look. When Tino just shrugged and went about his work, Nathan wondered what he was going to find later that made this ass kissing happen.

But, later. For now, he was going to grab one of the good liquors so he could drink and eat and celebrate being post-celebrate his birthday while pre-celebrating St. Patrick's Day.

Jessica was perched on a stool near the door, ready to check IDs. That is, when she wasn't looking down at the book in her hands, alternately snickering and rolling her eyes and reading with interest. If you lose a limb, it is very important to remain calm. Do not panic! Yes, it hurts, and yes, the prospect of going through eternity without a limb is terrifying, but nothing is worse than a one-armed vampire trying to exact revenge for the injury. The trick is to collect the severed limb before your wounded stump heals over. Retreat to safety and hold it in place....
