When William opened up the shop in the morning, he was quite promptly... beaned in the head with a flashlight.

"What on Earth?" he muttered to himself, dismissing it after a moment as likely more of the shop's little peculiarities. Although usually that manifested in the form of fruit...

In any case, William had practically forgotten about his curious greeting when it happened again.

In fact, within the space of a few hours, he'd amassed a collection of a half-dozen flashlights. He was in the midst of clearing off a spot on one of the shelves for them- perhaps someone could use a flashlight, or parts from one, in a project- when he discovered, of all things, a small ceramic statue of a duck.

"Wellthat doesn't belong here at all," he muttered. That was rather the sort of thing one would expect to find at the second-hand shop, really. Perhaps he ought to ring Alexander and see if he knew whether they were missing a duck statue over there?

A new old piece had come into the shop that morning, and Alexander could not be happier about it. It looked as though it had seen some better days, but it was nothing that he didn't know how to spruce up and make much more presentable. It would take some hard work, of course, but Alexander did love a good project to keep both his hands and mind occupied.

It helped distract him from the...urgh. Cats.

So Alexander pushed up his sleeves, got together some sandpaper and wood finish and set to a productive day making the hutch like new...or almost new, anyway.

The hydroponic planters yielded plenty of radishes today. "Please tell me I don't have to eat these," Lion-o pleaded with the kitchen staff as he brought them freshly-harvested radishes. "They look more like rabbit-food then people-food."

This left the staff with a dilemma: how to remind Lion-o that he wasn't like normal people on this planet. In the end, they decided it was just easier to say nothing and serve red meat.

Last night, Kate had finally managed to get a call through to her mother after nearly a week of trying (and before that, over a week of not bothering to even try because she'd needed a bit of distance). She'd been expecting to have to cover for why she'd been out of contact for so long, but her mother had actually seemed pretty mellow, and hadn't said a single thing about any missed calls.

The explanation had come soon enough, though. When Kate had carefully asked about how Charmaine had been doing after the wedding/family secret unveiling extravaganza, her mom had said the strangest thing. "Well, I think she's still coming to terms with it, I mean it's only been three days."

...According to Kate's perception of the world, it had been over two weeks. Oh yeah. Welcome to having timeline issues, Kate. She was pretty adamant to not think about that at all today. Her senior prom was coming up, so it really was time to think about accessories, rather than give herself a headache trying to figure out interdimensional time differences or, God forbid, think about the stuff she'd told Mitchell about a few days ago.

The hardest question she wanted to be dealing with today was who was going to ask who to the prom. (She figured it was Bod's turn this year.) The day's movie was a comedy, too, and she approved of that.

Lindsay had another dilemma, one that could change the very fabric of music...or perhaps that was just a bit over dramatic. She was having a difficult time deciding on what to listen to in the store today. There were just so many choices.

In the end, she went with The Runaways. On CD. It kinda made her wish for vinyl, though. She was feeling nostalgic.

Groovy Tunes was open.

Nathan was not doing another poetry reading at the bar tonight. He'd chalk that up to some kind of temporary hysteria and he wasn't going to be persuaded even if Tino had bought himself some huge book of sonnets to perform.

Instead, he was breaking out some of the good whiskey just because he could. The bruise that had been his constant companion for nearly a week and a half was finally fucking gone and not a minute too soon in Nathan's opinion. Chalking the quick healing (if you could call that quick) up to his super human body, he felt that drinking was a good way to reward said body.

"Play something loud!" Nathan requested of the band who amazingly got right on that. He didn't know the song but it was loud and it was uptempo and he was already grooving along with the beat. Eyes closed, he let it fill his head and push everything else aside for the moment.

When he opened his eyes, Tino was gyrating and thrusting his hips all over the place and Nathan stopped short. "Oh god," Nathan said, mock gagging and going for some more whiskey. "I can feel my lunch coming up. Stop that Tino!"

Tino did and glared in Nathan's direction. Nathan just toasted him and kept bopping his head along with the music while he pulled out his phone to see what was the what there.

Today, being Wednesday, saw the usual HankCo. sign and business cards sitting on the counter by the register.

Hank, however, wasn't there.

Instead, he was winding through the aisles, holding Turtle out in front of him. The cheese panda was following along behind with its front paws on Hank's hips. It wasn't much of a conga line, but it was a start.

"YA-da-da-da-DA-DA! YA-da-da-da-DA-DA!"

As for why there was a conga line... Did there really need to be a reason?

Apu just sighed and shook his head, and tried not to get run over while he was stocking shelves.
