All of this rain had even Jane, who felt herself quite prepared for that sort of weather, feeling a little bit sopped. Mostly, though, it had her confused, as she was fairly certain that this type of weather during this time of year and with so much consistency could not be very typical of Japan, could it?

Either way, she had books, and she intended to pour through them and figure out if the weather patterns truly did suggest that this would be a natural progression. If so, she wondered if it would be a little unfair that, when she got back to her proper time and place eventually, if she didn't put a few investments into umbrella interests in the Far East trading....

Not that Bo needed a list of reasons to be in a good mood; she'd usually settle for just one and cling to it like a slightly-desperate barnacle. This time, though...

  1. Whoever she'd been last weekend had still filled out her timecard. Yay, paycheck.

  2. She wasn't him anymore, which meant:

    1. She wasn't a sweet but naive idiot.

    2. She wasn't from Indiana.

    3. She had breasts.

    4. What? She liked breasts.

  3. Mmm, death gods.

  4. She'd think of something else later.

So today, your bartender would be smiling at you. Possibly slightly wider if you had breasts. What? She liked breasts.

This gloomy afternoon, Simon was out of his usual uniform of button-up shirt and dark jeans in favour of a black hoodie and tracksuit bottoms. It was the sensible thing to do when he was out running in the rain.

He hadn't been on the island for too long yet, but he was already getting to be fairly familiar with the streets. Running was getting to be routine, and it was good to be able to say he was doing it for class. No need to tell people he would've been doing it anyway, especially not with Nathan back on the island. He thought about the impossibility of that as he ran. He also thought of his friends back home, and things he didn't know how to do, and how long it'd be before he'd dare to take to the rooftops.

The rain made his hair stick to his forehead and his clothes cling to his body a bit, but he didn't mind. He kept running.

[ooc: Open post if you're a fool in the rain, too!]
