It might have been silly of him to think so, but Alexander figured if he brought his roommate in his current puppy form with him to the shop today, then perhaps the cat statues would think twice about hanging around and being creepy.

Granted, it wasn't as thought William made for a particularly menacing puppy (with all apologies to William for thinking so, of course!), but he was curious, and spent most of his time sniffing interestedly around the shop, so it was at least better than keeping him stuck in the room all day. It also gave Alexander someone to talk to, besides, without making him feel silly for speaking with inanimate object.

Clearly, it was time for a new display. While Karla's tropical theme was making her yearn for the beach, the weather was demanding something else.

'Warm' was her theme, and so Emma filled the displays with things to evoke the idea of heat and staying in bed.

'Dite's Decadent Delights was open, and the shop-girl was about, fussing over her displays.

There was definitely going to be a lot of coffee today for Charlie Swan; he didn't imagine he was going to let go of the giant #1 Dad mug in his hands at all. He wouldn't admit it, but that was his favorite mug, one Bells had got him when she wasn't even old enough to have picked it out herself, but, apparently, even then, she had a pretty healthy sense of irony.

"Pretty cold out there for July, isn't it?" he asked Ralph, who just shrugged, and Charlie took a sip of his coffee and headed over to his desk. "Global warming, my foot."

For once, Kate was in an okay mood upon coming to work. Some of her coworkers weren't, on account of her having missed yet another shift last week, but she paid them no mind. It wasn't like it was her fault she kept getting turned into a cat or yanked away to do shit that was far more important than running the concessions stand hardly anyone visited.

And in any case, she was there now, and that was all that mattered. Not that she seemed to be working too hard, mostly engrossed with some things on her phone and jotting down a list of things on a small notepad.

But hey, she'd picked the movie for today!

Lion-o really didn't mind the change in weather (it helped when you had your own fur coat), but he realized that some of the other residents on the island might not feel the same. So he brainstormed with the kitchen staff to come up with warm comfort foods to add to menu.

Sometimes, Alex let current events write the syllabus for her. Granted, these were 2011 current events, and the island wasn't in 2011, but she wasn't about to let that stop her.

Okay, so it got cold in Ohio. But hardly ever this cold, and never in July, and this was why Quinn spent much of her shift dancing around the radiator simply trying to keep warm.

The next place the island went had better be Cancun. As far as Quinn was concerned, the island owed her.

As a southern girl, Jessica hated the snow. So she thought the island's new location sucked. It was enough to make her consider taking a trip back home to escape it. She could visit her Sookie and maybe her Bill to see what had been going on since she left Bon Temps.

She totally wouldn't check up on Hoyt. He probably had a new girlfriend and was better off without her anyway.

Nathan still hated the fucking snow. He had to wear like five pairs (okay, not really) of underwear just to keep his fucking balls from freezing. England got cold but they never got this cold and never in fucking July.

He was grouchy when he arrived so he ordered Tino to go out and sweep the fucking walkway so no one fell and broke their bloody neck. Tino obliged with few objections leaving Nathan alone in the bar. Well, that got boring quick so Nathan stalked over to the door and started throwing glasses of water onto the walkway to ice it up.

If Tino slipped and fell, well, Nathan would laugh his ass off. Tino was just grumbling and shoveling and probably contemplating hitting Nathan in the head with the shovel.
