Robin had finally managed to get the podcasts of the Fandom Radio show. As far as he could tell, nothing had happened to his world, but what he'd heard sounded really scary, and he figured the folks back on the island could use a pick me up.

Therefore he had returned for the day with his banjo, a stereo and an arsenal of songs and hugs.

He'd put up a sign: Uplifting Songs and/or Hugs. Requests happily taken.

Currently, the stereo was playing a cheerful tune, and Robin was dancing.

It was supposed to be one of Sean's days to open the shop, but K-Mart had a feeling he and Annja wouldn't be leaving each other alone for a while, and so she was puttering around the store and compulsively cleaning up even though there really wasn't much to clean up at the moment.

Look, she had to keep busy somehow, okay? If she didn't, then she'd start thinking, and thinking about what'd just happened to her would not be pretty.

Sean probably wasn't going to recognize the inside of his shop next time he came in.

Cassidy was relieved that she was able to come to work without fear.

She went about straightening things and making sure that all of the displays were clean and dust free. She righted books and made sure that everything was perfectly displayed. If anyone needed last moment Winsol gifts, she had several books that she could recommend to them.

Then she went behind the counter, where she summoned a pot of tea and some cups. Tea helped with almost anything.

It was ridiculously early when Arthur made it down to the causeway. He'd stayed here yesterday to recuperate, but he couldn't afford to waste any more time. He needed to get back to Camelot, to see if his father remembered anything, and if so, to salvage the situation as best he could.

He had his new sword sitting on his belt; he was almost inspired to draw it at least twice when the strange bears came wandering in, but they seemed oddly friendly. Even if he had absolutely no interest in the beverages they were offering.

He would leave soon - he just had to say goodbye to one or two more people, and then he and Merlin could make it down the causeway and go home again.

And not a moment too soon, either.

[[ open, though sp later today! ]]

Mary was relieved that everything had been un-Nothing'd and returned to normal at the hotel. Sure, she didn't remember having those leopard-print sheets on her bed, but she could live with that. The only hassle today was the polar bears handing out drinks in the lobby. Not that anyone objected to the polar bears, but there were a few complaints that the bears couldn't tell the regular Coke cans apart from the Diet Coke cans. "Like a little sugar would kill you. Live a little! We just survived the end of the world," grumbled Mary.

Jono was feeling a little on the mellow side as he opened the doors to the Boards for his office shift, and the music that he was playing on the speakers, mostly a few smooth jazz Christmas songs, reflected that well enough.

Tickets for Friday's Winter Showcase were on sale now, though he was kind of grimacing at them and wondering how they were going to pull it together in less than a week, after the Nothing had stepped in and made absolute chaos of their rehearsals.

Maybe he'd just do more paperwork for Rinoa. That seemed like a safer bet than stressing about things that they'd be tackling tomorrow at rehearsal anyhow.

After three weeks on the island, Jaina had booked her portal back (and it better kriffing work), checked out of her hotel, and now was just biding her time until she had to go. With the same one bag that she arrived with, she headed to JGOB, figuring coffee and a pastry counted as dinner, and decided to wait there.

She had not counted on the fuzzy adorable polar bear outside, holding out a Coke for her. At first she'd tried to turn it down, but even badasses weren't immune to the look it gave her. How do you say no to those eyes? How? She took the Coke, relieved that it looked so happy that she took it and then wandered off, probably to foist soda on someone else as she went inside and got a table by the window.

Fine, Coke and a pastry for dinner. Still worked.

[Some people may be moseying on in here, but totally open!]

There was some inventory in now, since shipments could actually get here, and Kitty was attempting to get the bar set up again. But she kept running into the same problem.

"Okay, I'm pretty sure I put that vodka here a second ago."

Tino tried to look innocent. It wasn't working.

Stark had spent a good part of the day sitting on a bench in the park just enjoying the feeling of not being confined and being able to see the sky. He'd spent enough of his life in enclosed spaces. Sometimes he just wanted to reassure himself that he wasn't forced to anymore.

He'd ended up with several bottles of Coca-cola throughout the course of the day. The bears were very friendly (and soft) and had kept coming over and handing him bottle after bottle.

It had gotten colder when the sun went down and he'd decided to take his bottles with him (one bear had very helpfully produced a bag) and find a warmer spot to sit. He'd ended up here, at the Perk, with a mug of tea and a chair by the window.

[Totally open for any Perk or Stark related needs you might have, though I may be slow.]

There were large white bears wandering around offering people drinks.

Pinkie could only form one conclusion from this: the bears were throwing a party! Sure it wasn't a very well planned party, they didn't even have any real decorations, but impromptu parties were almost as fun as big fancy planned ones, and that's why Pinkie was now out in the park, wearing a little fluffy blue jacket and boots, hanging out with a bunch of polar bears who kept giving her Coca-Cola.

Yes, that's right, Pinkie was now highly caffeinated. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

[ooc: Park is open! And full of friendly polar bears! And a pony this close to bursting into cheery song!]

Raven had finally left Jono's apartment to tend to her neglected responsibilities, one of which was opening the store for the afternoon. She'd been worried about not being able to reach Karla after their talk of getting together Monday afternoon, but fortunately listening to the radio re-broadcast put those fears to rest when she heard she'd gone with Warren to his home. She hoped everything was going well with the trip and between them.

She was more than a little surprised when Miley mentioned Death calling Jono. She hoped that had been a good conversation as well.

As usual the store was quiet, so she settled behind the front counter with her laptop, searching for any mention of Azar or Azarath (just to reassure herself) while humming her song for the winter showcase.
