Jessica was thankful for many things. Being alive. Having awesome superpowers and the sense of responsibility to use them well. Having a job with SHIELD that allowed her to have a job at Stark's. Friends that she got to omit certain truths from.

Despite some recent events, things were decent. Which is why it was even more insane that she was spending her afternoon cleaning pudding out of a laptop.

"I'm not even mad," Jessica said to herself, mostly, and maybe to Jarvis. "I'm impressed. That pudding coats everything so evenly. Whoever did this was an artist and they're going to be huge soon. Because no artist is appreciated during their life, and I am going to kill whoever did this today."

At least she wasn't bored on the day before Thanksgiving.

So, somehow, Karla had managed to talk Priestly into loaning out his kitchen to anyone who wanted to help make food for tomorrow's Thanksgiving feast. She still wasn't sure how she'd managed that, considering Priestly's odd reluctance to trust her in the kitchen, but she wasn't going to look the gift chef in...the...uhh, oven?

Okay, that metaphor had gotten away from her a little. Whatever. They still had a kitchen to work with and an amazing freezer that had every ingredient imaginable AND a tram. Between that and Karla to oversee everything, there was no way that this Thanksgiving meal wouldn't turn out amazingly.

...Specifically since Priestly had tapped his cook to actually oversee the kitchen. And several members of StuCo had also planned to keep Karla from interfering too much.

Either way, there was plenty of cooking to do if anyone was interested in helping!

Shira didn't quite understand all of Thanksgiving, though she got the obvious parts -- the giving thanks, the eating food, the celebrating with loved ones. It kind of made her a little sad for the people back home, even though they didn't have the holiday back home.

Though not so sad that she couldn't go through her normal day at the Magic Box. She unpacked shipments and stocked them, tidied up a little, and then settled down behind a counter.

It was a good day, even if she was a little overly thinky.
