Sparkle was napping today.

In Alec's lap, unfortunately (or fortunately, depended on who you asked; in this case, you'd probably only get the 'fortunately' response from, well, Sparkle). It was strange, because Sparkle had been spending most of his time lately running around and being hyper, so the napping was unusual, but then, there had been kind of a lot of bouncy castle movement last night, so -- it was understandable.

It was getting to the point where Alec was kind of thinking about moving to the hotel for a night or two just to get some sleep. And so his back would stop hurting.

Ben was hard at work behind the counter working on schematics for how to make a space bath feasible. So far he could figure out where to put the water cistern, but if someone was going to be really disappointed if they were taking a bath when the ship took off...

He'd fix it.

...eventually.

The shop was open!

The weather was being kind - perhaps unnaturally so. There was a large gap in the clouds right above Fandom island, sending sunlight streaming down even as the sun made its way towards the horizon.

Perfect time for a beach party. More or less. The organizers were just happy the date they'd picked and put on all the invites looked like it was turning out sunny, okay?

There were coolers with lemonade and... other things, there were beach balls and there was sand: perfect excuse for a party, right?

Luke's, Friday

Luke's had totally been open all day. Shut up. Priestly was even here the whole time, ready to man the stove if inspiration struck to try out some new dish.

He hadn't actually gotten around to, say, writing up specials or anything, though. He was going to, really he was, but see, he kept getting distracted. Which was what was happening now, over there at the front counter, where he was sort of half-sprawled with his chin on his arm, his free hand holding open the book he had propped against a napkin holder.

"Anarchist Cookbook?" the Dishwasher guessed.

"Eat, Pray, Love," the Cook proposed.

Priestly lifted his head just long enough to flick them off, eyes never leaving the pages.

If a customer or, you know, an actual friend came in, he'd be all set to actually sit up and pay attention, don't worry.

[late, lazy post = no OCD. Have at ye.]

SOMEone had forgotten that Wonka's wasn't open on Fridays, so it was a candy-less, grumpy Momoko who was eating her way through all the best plates today and occasionally calling out to the chef for specific sushi.

"Maguro, onegai!"

"Hai!!"

What? Sure she could just ask for 'tuna', but this way made her feel like she was back home.

Besides, the chef totally needed to work on his accent.

*chomp*

"Ojiisan! Motto tako! Tako!"

"Hai HAI!"
