That night was Nell's birthday celebration and Steven and Llewellyn were heading out to London as early as they could come Friday. So while Steven was at work he was spending a fair bit of time on his phone working out last minute details for the weekend.

Luckily Blathers was a much more forgiving boss than the one Steven might potentially bump into in a few days.

Tisarwat had definitely considered not even going into work that day; she'd been dealing with terrible headaches all week, and she just felt incredibly lethargic and apathetic about everything. But she figured she could at least try to get some work done, maybe help pull herself out of this funk she'd gotten herself into, although if she came in and the stereo started acting up, she was definitely calling it quits for the day.

Thankfully, though, the stereo cooperated, and was pumping out some nice, chill, soothing music, all the instruments were exactly as they were supposed to be, and even the lights seemed to have politely dimmed themselves to a level where she didn't feel they were burning into the back of her brain. It was honestly kind of nice? She didn't really trust it, of course, so she wasn't fully allowing herself to enjoy it and just fall into her cup of tea, but....she also didn't have the energy to be all that suspicious about it.

Last week, Jane had finally taken the advice of checking on some things from Valkyrie. Which had lead her to returning to her now disorienting actual self in order to get some blood drawn for tests with her doctor back in New York City.

It had been, unfortunately, less than pleasant news.

Mjolnir wasn't so much healing her as resetting the countdown clock on her time left each time that she picked it up. Which wasn't exactly ideal, but... But she wasn't sure at all. For the moment, she was just taking little time to watch the birds in the park on a bench that she didn't know was for emo, but it worked!

It definitely worked.

When Annie came in tonight, she found Tiny in the middle of tidying up the axe range and straightening the targets. Which, of course, led to Annie realizing that they had somehow never had an axe-throwing contest, and that that needed to be rectified immediately.

And while Tiny did not participate or agree, per se, Annie still gamely squared up and threw an axe at the dead center of her target -- and immediately felt a sharp twinge from hip to shoulder.

Goddamn it. And now she'd be spending the night rolling her shoulder, sitting in barstools and twisting, and generally regretting that choice.

(Though she had decided that she'd won by default, since Tiny had just walked off instead of taking his shot. So it was worth it.)

So, McGarrett had been an otter for almost a week now, and though his brain wasn't really firing like a human, he was pretty sure that it was incredibly awesome being an otter. He had a cool rock he was using to bash oysters ~~and sometimes other rocks shhhh he wasn't amazing at being an otter yet okay~~, he was basically living in the ocean when Danny left a door unlocked and gave Steve three seconds unsupervised.

He was back in the water now, riding the waves and loving his life. Occassionally loving his life including yelling harassment at the porgs. They knew what they did.

"You guys are getting way too hung up on the name of this dish," Duke informed his kitchen staff. "No, it's not a reference to my fishing style, and no, it's not supposed to explode."

"Okay," said Greg. "But is it at least made with nitroglycerin?"

Liz was feeling a lot better than she had been and after taking the past week off, she felt well enough to try and do some work at the store today.

She felt extremely grateful that Prompto had been taking really good care of her and the store, even when she had gotten a little moody and irritable towards the end there but he had been patient with her and she was extremely glad that she had him there for support.

She was still feeling a little tired and achy, her ankles were still a bit swollen but she was doing her best to keep them elevated and stay at her computer to work on some reports and answer as many emails as she could.
