None of the crates had books in them. Liliana wasn't exactly sulking about it, but she was ignoring them in favor of playing her lyre. So there.

Was it really too much to ask for a once-in-a-lifetime find of incalculable worth and historical value to happen two weeks in a row?

Did you need something simple or personal or interesting to decorate your life with? Then, boy, were you in the right place! Because it was National Sticker Day here at Turtle & Canary, where there were boundless stickers available for free with any purchase! For every $5 you spend, you get a free sticker of your choice, and there were so many great and moddable stickers to choose from, too! There were also some pretty good discounts on sticker packs, sticker books, stickers for scrapbooking, etc, etc, etc...

"See?" said Summer, gesturing at all the good work Apu did in putting up signs and banners and putting out baskets of stickers for people to shift through and choose. "This is more like it. Nice, simple promotions on things that make sense for a store to have and celebrate. More of this and less....I don't know...National Bring Your Elk to Work Day stuff, Apu, please?"

She might regret this encouragement when she'd found that someone had gone and put a ton of their free stickers all over a variety of shelves and the walls and the Squishy machine and even the cheese panda, but for now? She was actually sorting through a bunch of stickers herself to decorate her water bottle with.

Raiden arrived at Pizza Planet on Monday freshly showered and still carrying his sword. "Okay, what did I miss? No, don't touch that, it's still got demon blood on it, I've gotta clean it properly. Oh, I need some potato pizzas made up, special order. I'll give you delivery instructions...no, those aren't the specials. You know what? I haven't even had breakfast yet, so let's do that."

Pizza Planet is open, and everyone enrolled in Raiden's Potatoes! class will be getting a free potato pizza delivered today, with an apology note for his having to cancel their first class on Friday due to a demon-related emergency on the mainland ~~and totally not due to his player completely forgetting about class because of the novelty of four inches of snow in Alabama, oops~~.

And today there was delivery after delivery of rubber ducks. Nell finally had to start refusing delivery since she had no idea what in the workd she'd even do with the ones she already had.

Guess what was going out with every flower delivery or order?

Harley's holidays had been chaotic in the best way, and also completely off the island.

So naturally it was mid-January by the time she rolled back into town and (almost) directly to the Perk, sporting giant sunglasses and an even bigger grin.

"Hi! Whaddaya got in an extra large? I'll take two!"

Steve, being kamaʻāina, wasn't exactly a natural lover of cold weather, sleet, or snow. But he'd been in the Navy too long to have not also internalized the suck it up and deal mentality of the military. He worked around the very January of it all today in a giant puffy coat, his normal boots, and ten miles on a stationary bike in lieu of his usual jogging and swimming morning routine.

And now he was in the office catching up on the reports from the weekend. "This person knows that being Rickrolled isn't actually illegal, right?"

The Troopers muttered a reply.

"Well it might be in his home dimension, but I don't think that applies here," Steve said.

The Trooper Station was open! Steve was getting caught up on multi-versal law.

Cold and dark was Eric's native habitat, and so he'd brought that into the club today. The heat had been turned off to allow the bar he'd constructed entirely from ice to not melt immediately.

Tiny, behind said bar and wearing three hats, looked decidedly unhappy about the new change in theme.

Eric, drinking very cold vodka, did not care.

The Devil's Nest was open! Be careful on the slippery floor.

"What? You know I said I'd be back."

(Yeah, yeah, it was obviously about the haircut, not his latest return from a stay in Wakanda. Let an old man have his fun.)

The world continued to turn even as the cold set in, and Pam continued to spend time on the mainland for... purposes. But some part of her week had also been spent raising plants in the nursery upstairs, and now that some of the ornamental bushes and flowers were tall enough, it was time to move them into the store.

She opened up the store and then got to it. Some flowers here, some perennials there.

And here and there, she draped vines up and down the shelves, greenery that twitched and moved a little with her fingertips. What they were? She wasn't about to say.

They looked nice, though.

So, Vi may have looked like she was mostly snacking on cupcakes between serving customers today, but actually she was engaged in vital research for her homework assignment for Tony and Steve's class.

Research which involved an extremely large selection of cupcakes from J,GoB that she'd bought on her way in today.
