The store was finally back the way it belonged, which meant that all Sean was worrying about was how to contain the dirty shirt in his office. He'd finally settled on locking it in a tackle box that was currently bouncing its way along the floor by the registers.

What? He didn't just provide goods for people, he also provided free entertainment!

Hey, we never claimed it was good entertainment.

As for Sean himself, he was sitting behind a register and periodically peeking over to make sure the box wasn't bouncing its way out the door.

[OCD free today!]
[identity profile] mathletenomore.livejournal.com
Lindsay spotted the note left by K-Mart when she arrived today. Not really wanting to deal with an angry boss, she decided to rearrange the store again, this time back to the way it was before. Not that she really remembered how things were arranged before. She shrugged and hoped for the best.

Nast Sporting Goods [6/9]

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010 07:18 pm
[identity profile] likethestore.livejournal.com
It was a slow, boring day for K-Mart. Which would probably be why she was playing a rousing game of "rearrange the store for no good reason". Sean would probably flip when he found out, but oh well. That was a worry for tomorrow... and for Lindsay to deal with.

Crap.

Oh, well, she'd just leave Lindsay a handwavy note so she knew what she was coming in to.

And the Now Hiring! sign was in the window for another day.

[Flying OCD free today!]
[identity profile] mathletenomore.livejournal.com
Lindsay sat behind the counter with her brand new cellphone. Currently, she was programming a few phone numbers into it. Mostly her friends from home. She was kinda sad that she probably couldn't take it with her if she ever visits home in 1981. For now, she was just going to admire this new technology.

She'd put that aside to help customers if needed, though.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
It was a thoughtful Sean at work today, going between his laptop -- which was set up behind one of the registers, just like K-Mart's earlier in the week -- and making phone calls. He knew it would be a long shot on finding anything for Annja, but he still couldn't resist the urge to at least try.

When he wasn't doing either of those things, he was filling out purchase orders. Fun times, fun times.

The Now Hiring! sign was still in the window.

[Yup, OCD free here.]
[identity profile] mathletenomore.livejournal.com
Lindsay really disliked being here. Well, okay, that wasn't entirely true. The job was okay and her boss was pretty cool. She was just annoyed that her dad made her get this job. Whatever. At least she was getting paid. She was saving up for all the new technology like a laptop and cellphone. She had not even discovered mp3 players, yet. She'd want one of those, too.

So she was going to keep working here as long as she had to.
[identity profile] likethestore.livejournal.com
It was a lazy, laid back day for K-Mart. She had her laptop with her, set up behind one of the registers, and was poking away at it whenever there weren't customers.

Her activities? That damn cafe game. Well, that and writing an e-mail to Savannah and Johnny.

The Now Hiring! sign was still up in the window.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
Sean was in a good mood. The flowers hadn't broken anything, Lindsay had survived her first day at work, and did he really need a reason to be in a good mood, anyway?

No. No, he did not.

And so he was behind the counter, feet up again, and reading a magazine.

The Now Hiring! sign was still in the window.
[identity profile] mathletenomore.livejournal.com
Lindsay was practically forced to get a job. When her dad found out there was a sporting goods store in town, he told her to try to get hired. So she did. Now, she was sitting behind the counter, bored. Well she was until a flower crept from the register, singing a cheerful, uplifting song. "Tomorrow" in this case.

"Seriously?" she muttered, trying not to bang her head against the counter.

At least her first day would be memorable.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
One good thing about the first summer semester starting was that he could actually start hiring people. He had Wednesday and Friday covered -- Wednesday by K-Mart, and Friday by himself, because there was no way he'd make a high school student work on Fridays. Yes, he was there on a Tuesday, but that was only because A: he needed to actually hire people first and couldn't do that if he wasn't there and B: well, he was pretty much always there lately.

This probably explained why he was sitting behind the counter, feet up on the counter as he paged through a sports magazine. He'd stuck the Now Hiring! sign in the window and was just sitting back to wait.
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah was once more rearranging the store.

This time is was arranged by color coordination... and not by seasonal goods as would probably make more sense, right? However, since it was Savannah and a case of the nerves, the store was now very decidedly arranged by color. (She'd apologize to her replacements when she saw them later and she knew Sean wouldn't be too upset with her.)

So now? Now she was tugging bookcases around to make sure that the different sports books and smaller supplies were in the right section for their color.

Of course, there was also the matter of those confusing pastels where she wasn't exactly sure which section they should go in or if she should make a whole separate display of pastels.

Nast's is open. Savannah is ready to help you.

Kinda.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
Sean might've only been seven years old, but he was a responsible seven-year-old. What did you expect from a Cabal son? They were raised with responsibility practically from the cradle.

Which explained why he had somehow managed to actually get Nast Sporting Goods open.

But because he was only seven years old, he was also resisting the urge to start bouncing a basketball around or some other such activity that would make his twenty-five-year-old self cringe.

[OCD-free!]
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
Sean was in a good mood, since he was still riding high on the fact that his little trip with Savannah a few days ago had actually gone well. Which was defined as Bryce not trying to kill Savannah and Savannah not ending up in tears.

In fact, Bryce and Savannah had actually gotten along reasonably well. They'd never be friends, but maybe Bryce would be a little less inclined towards killing her now.

So, for once, he was calming sitting behind a register and not manically rearranging displays. Shock and awe, people. Shock and awe.

[Flying OCD-free!]
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
It was a solemn Sean who showed up for work that morning. He was still more than a little down about having to send his girls home the other day. Oh, he knew he'd had to, but that didn't make it any easier to deal with.

And so, in tried and true Nast tradition, he was attempting to cope through work.

Which explained why every single display was getting reorganized and restocked and changed out and whatever else he could come up with in order to keep his mind off things.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
Sean was a busy, busy man today...

... okay, no, he wasn't. He was sitting at one of the registers and reading a magazine. But it was a sports magazine, so it totally counted!

He might've also been mentally multi-tasking by trying to figure out which displays he needed to rearrange and which could stand to stay the way they were for another week or so, but any actual doing of that was going to have to wait until A: he could ask Savannah if she had plans for it and B: he was feeling far less lazy.

[Flying OCD-free since it's up late and I'm sick.]
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah was at work.

Savannah was not concentrating on work. No, her mind was elsewhere.

She was also thinking about class on Tuesday and how much she was still really upset and bothered about it. She was definitely going to seek out Karla again and maybe talk to her about why she had been so upset about the class. She hadn't wanted to bring it up at Reserves... and she had kind of avoided Sean so he wouldn't know that something had upset her so badly.

This could be why she had rearranged the store displays at least twice.

Nast's is open.

[[OOC: No OCD as it ran away.]]
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
Sean was glad that once again, the alternate universe weekend madness had passed him by. He'd been holed up in his hotel room, working and watching TV... but mostly working.

Just like he was now, actually.

Except now he was realizing for the first time that he'd have to start hiring again in a couple of months because holy crap, his sister was going to be graduating. Yes, it was really the first time he'd seriously thought about it.

Sean could be kind of oblivious sometimes.

At the moment, he was very much un-oblivious and attempting to straighten up a display.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
Sean was being productive today -- he'd set up four different displays, reorganized two others, and was now sitting behind a register with his laptop, trying to plan something for Annja's Spring Break, since they'd already handwavily decided to go away somewhere and it was technically going to be their honeymoon.

And that kind of thing was supposed to be special in some way.

He may or may not have been getting frustrated trying to come up with something.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
Sean wasn't sure opening the store was the best idea today of all days, but hell, why not?

He scribbled a sign and set it in the window.

If you're gonna use it to fight the gremlins, it's free!

Call it his great contribution to the fight.

That done, he settled in behind a counter for a while.

[OCD free -- Am off to work, will be back after 5 PM CST]
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah was behind the counter of the store with catalogs spread over the surface and a rainbow of pens and highlighters. They were heading into Fall sports season and she wanted to make sure the store had all of the required items and accessories for this. Therefore, as she highlighted things she thought they needed, she was also writing a list on her clipboard. She also might be envisioning new ways to re-organize the store when the shipments came in.

Savannah also had a catalog of signs that she was flipping through as she had decided the store needed a new sign.

You should feel sorry for Sean when she decided to do this.

Nast's is open.
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah was exhausted and not feeling a hundred percent, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to open the store as usual today. (Even though she knew Sean would have made her stay home if he knew what was going on with her.) She unlocked the door and turned on the sign, and went about prepping the store. Pay no attention to the fact that she seemed to be trying to hide all of the sleeping bags from sight this morning.

Nast's is open.
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
After yesterday's bout of involuntary singing, Savannah was busy in the store. No, she hadn't changed the layout again. Today she was unpacking and shelving new merchandise that had come in.

Although, why they suddenly had a shipment snow equipment was anybody's guess. Savannah thought the guys at the warehouse were trying to be funny -- sending them snow gear in July.

Nast Sporting Goods is open and Savannah was here to help and try to talk you into buying ski equipment before she decided to make an abstract art project in the middle of the store with it all.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
Sean was hung over, but really, day after a holiday. What did you expect? Despite the hangover, he was there and ready to work.

There was a Help Wanted sign in the window.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
There was more than a little worry on Sean's face as he opened the store. He knew Johnny had left the night before, which meant that Savannah was not going to be in a good headspace this weeek. He kind of wished classes started this week and not next -- Savannah was going to need something to concentrate on.

Shaking his head, he settled behind a register.
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
When she had opened the store this morning, Savannah had been her normal cheerful human self.

She climbed up on the counter to stand there and reach up to change a light bulb when she suddenly found herself a great deal shorter than she thought she was.

Confused, she started to stand up again, only to notice the black paws where her hands were supposed to be.

"Oh hell, not again," Was what she tried to say. What came out was more of a "Mrowr rowr."

She stood on the edge of the counter and looked down. The floor seemed very far away and there was no way she was jumping from this height.

Nast's is open. Mind the baby panther.

[[OOC: No OCD]]
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah was still in the midst of rearranging the store, but she was taking a break to chew out someone on the phone.

"No. That's unacceptable. It was supposed to be delievered today and I want it today. That bike is a graduation gift for a special someone and I will not have him thinking that I forgot to get him something. Now, you get your people in gear and you get that to our store before the end of business today or you and your people will find heads rolling."

Savannah was almost growling as she hung up the phone and went back to tugging at shelves and displays.

Nast's was open.

[[OOC: There is no OCD today as it went to get some sun.]]
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah got to work early...

...and immediate proceeded to reorganize the entire store. She was working with single-minded concentration on everything she was doing.

The new layout probably made sense to some people. Okay, it probably would if they had been gremlin bit or were drunk.

She was a very determined and organized person. Poor Sean.

Nast's is open. Beware the mess.
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
With the power outage and the cold, Savannah really hadn't wanted to leave the dorms. However it was cold out there and it was a bit gray due to the snowing and the cloud cover.

That would be why she was at the store on her day off. She figured people would need camping equipment and other things for light and warmth right now. She had lit a few of the laterns around the store and was bundled up in a coat at the front of the store.

It was cold! She really hoped she didn't get sick from this.

Nast's is open.

[OOC Free today]]
[identity profile] notafairmaiden.livejournal.com
Gwynn had received a call from Savannah, asking if she could work the store for her today because she wasn't feeling well.

Gwynn had no knowledge of running a sporting goods store.

However, when she couldn't get ahold of Sean, she retrieved an extra key from Savannah and headed in.

This could be quite the learning experience... for everyone concerned.

Nast's is open.
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
After class, Savannah headed over to open up the store. She had the stereo playing as she walked among the aisles and displays doing inventory.

It looked to her like it was time to order a few more things for the place.

Nast's is open.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
Well... he'd survived Thanksgiving, which was actually what he was grateful for. Flaily but grateful.

To keep himself busy, he was at one of the registers and not hiding in the office.

What? At least he wasn't rearranging everything!

[Wait for the OCD is up!]
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah had reorganized the store after coming in and finding Sean's attempt at it.

After she put everything into some semblance of order, she went back behind the counter. She was making lists.

Lists for what items the squad needed to get ahold of for the dinner they wanted to do.

She was also trying to decide what she was going to do for the Music Club's show.

Nast's Is Open.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
Usually it was Savannah who reorganized the entire store. This time, it was Sean.

The reason?

The fact that Thanksgiving wasn't that far away.

Yeah, he was gonna die.

[Wait for the OCD is up!]
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah was not at the registration picnic.

She was at work. The place she had told Benicio to meet her at.

The place that in a fit of nerves, she had rearranged again. The organization made sense to her, but probably wouldn't to Sean.

She just hoped that Benicio didn't run into Johnny before talking to her. She had made him swear he would come right to the store after checking in.

Nast's is open, complete with flailing.
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah was quietly behind the counter going through notes and inventory for the store.

Okay, and some magazines.

The memories of the weekend were still with her and had her a bit sadly pensive as she couldn't believe what she had done.

She needed distraction and a way to try to get past it.

So that would be why she was making an inventory list of new things to order for the store.

Poor Sean.

Nast's is open.
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah was not a happy person when she got to work. She could not believe that she had been turned into a guy.

She straightened up the store and then settled behind the counter with a notebook and catalog.

There was a sign on the counter:

Laugh and I will seriously hurt you

Nast's is open.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
Sean was busy in his office today, having a scary number of calls to make and an equally scary amount of paperwork to do. This probably explained why a sound like a head hitting a wall could periodically be heard out in the store.

The office door was open, though, so he was still in a good mood and could be approached.

Good thing, really. He was scary in a bad mood.

[Wait for the OCD is up!]
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah still wasn't feeling perfect, but she decided to wander into work anyway.

After opening the store, she set herself up behind the counter with a book on motorcycle mechanics.

...

Okay, there was a magazine hiding behind that textbook.

[[Flying OCD free today]]
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah was working.

Okay, working was a very generous description for what she was doing.

All of her leather gear and clothing she had bought to go with the bike had finally arrived... and she was trying the different pieces on.

Nast's is open.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
There was some big even going on in town, which meant that Sean was laying low. Busy was not his thing. At least, not this kind of busy. Which explained why he'd handwavily been at work so damn much.

Like now, for instance.

[Wait for the OCD is up]
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah hadn't expected the purple rain as she made her way to work. So, her hair was now streaked purple. She was pretty sure she could wash it out later after work.

Currently, she was behind the counter looking at catalogues and writing down things to order for Sean's store.

[[OOC: Brain fried, so no OCD today]]
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Sean would be pleased to know that the store was mostly back to the way he had originally set everything up. There were a few things she had changed, but that was because it made the store look more balanced out that way.

Savannah was behind the counter, looking through a magazine of leather motorcycle wear -- purely for safety reasons, of course.

Nast's is open.
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah was sitting cross-legged on the counter of the store. She was dressed in what was probably best described as a "ski bunny" outfit. What? She was cold!

The entire shop had been rearranged and god knows how long it might take Sean to put everything back this time.

She had her sketch pad and she was drawing penguins in snow suits... in between tapping an envelope against her leg.

As she had promised Isabel, she had written the letter, but would she deliver it?

Nast's was open.
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Poor Sean.

Savannah had shown up for work early and was once again in a reorganizing frenzy.

Of course, as she was undoing all of the work Sean had managed to do, she was also talking on the headset that she had hooked up to the phone.

"Yes, we got the shipment and you've managed to get back into my okay graces. No, not my good graces. I'm still angry at you for causing my brother grief. No, I don't care how much you were being paid, and it would be in your best interest to make sure that it never happens again, Nico. As you have seen, I have quite a temper where my brother is concerned." She smiled as she moved a display across the store. "Now, how are you coming on that leather gear I asked you to find for me?" She paused as she listened to the man on the other end of the phone. "No, I already bought the bike, I'm just waiting to see how well I can move in the rest of the gear."

Nast's was open.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
Sean was busy rearranging the store. Well, was it really rearranging if you were putting things back the way they'd been in the first place? He was still undoing Savannah's reorganizational efforts after nearly a week. He was starting to wonder how she'd gotten it all done in one day.

[Wait for the OCD is up!]
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah was a few minutes late opening the store. Her red-rimmed eyes probably gave a good reason why she had been late. She moved around the store and made sure everything was in order before she unlocked the doors. She set herself up behind the counter with ledgers... and pretended she was focused on them.

Nast's is open
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah was once again at the store.

She had spent the early morning after coming back from the beach cleaning and rearranging the entire store, and now she was sitting behind the counter with an extra large coffee and a notebook. She might have been making a list of things from Benecio... or writing notes about the Cabals.

Who knows with Savannah?

Nast's is open.
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah had gone right to work after her class with Mr. Suresh. She knew that Sean wouldn't mind if she called in, but she had to keep busy, had to do something. Today that something involved helping her brother. It might be the kind of help that Sean would make funny faces over or drop his head on a desk over.

"I don't care what you say is wrong with your trucks, but I do care about these shipments that you keep losing or forgetting about. What I do care about is the fact that your company was hired in good faith and you are screwing around with my brother's livelihood." Her voice turned dangerously sweet. "No, I will not put Sean on the phone. You are dealing with me right now and you had better listen to me because this will be your only warning. I don't care what the Nasts are paying you to mess with his merchandise, but if he has any more problems, you will be getting a visit from the Cortezes' finest businessmen. Do I make myself clear?" She listened for a moment. "Good. I'll make sure Mr. Nast knows to expect his shipment tomorrow."

She hung up the phone and went back to looking at the ledgers. She may be hurting and feeling like her entire life was screwed up, but she would not have someone messing with her brother's business.

Nast's Sporting Goods is open.
[identity profile] bigbrothersean.livejournal.com
It was a highly caffeinated Sean that opened the store. There wasn't enough caffeine in the world to deal with the ball of energy that was his child.

He got her set up behind a register -- what? She wanted to be with Daddy, not stuck in the office. And besides, she was just using that counter space to color. She wasn't actually using the register.

And then he took a spot at another register, wishing he could hide in the office all day.

[Wait for the OCD is up!]

Nast's Sporting Goods

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008 10:37 am
[identity profile] walks-two-paths.livejournal.com
Savannah had paperwork strewn all over the counter.

Don't try and figure out how much of it might actually be related to the store.

She wondered if she could get her brother's store to help sponsor the fashion show...

...she could always just volunteer him, right?

There were also other notes written, but since they were in a mixture of Japanese and Latin, they likely wouldn;t make much sense to anyone but Savannah.

However, Nast's is open.
