His Cardio Funk class over for the day, John decided to open the front doors to the gym and let in some fresh air.

Days like this had him missing Atlantis. All that alien ocean air and trips to verdant worlds. But hey, Atlantis didn't have stuff like chili dogs for lunch. And damn if John wasn't gonna stuff his face with one of those later.

Brooker had slotted easily into their lives like he'd belonged there last weekend.

Nate supposed there was an Aesop of a kind in that, but he didn't care to explore it. Rather, he was interested in the implications the boy had posed: about the future, and about the Askani. (And about Chamber, but he was already past the point in the timeline where any of the information the little girl had given was strictly new.)

With those thoughts on his mind, he switched the open sign on Wellspring's door, an uncharacteristically quiet Jan at his side. She had taken to Brooker quite a bit-- maybe she missed him.

Nate resolved to head out back with her and Tether for some practice time soon to keep her mind off it all.

Bod was doing his level best to forget some of the events of the past weekend. He didn't necessarily want to forget Dorian because he was adorable but there were so many things associated with the boy that made him sad and he wondered if forgetting would be easier.

He wandered into work, still contemplating things but grateful for the distraction that work provided him. The cooking staff was already hard at work which meant Bod needed to catch up and get things ready.

It was Friday, and Fridays meant that you would find Ben at Fixer-Uppers working on some kind of project as he waited for customers. His laptop was--for the second week in a row--behaving itself, which left Ben with time to tweak some of the specs in his astronavigation droid.

Not that he had a StealthX to plug it into. He just liked having a really difficult long-term project to mess around with.

Rose had gotten herself a cup of hot chocolate from the Perk, but she wasn't into sitting around inside. She was way too restless to stay still so she wandered around the island, staying carefully away from MCA and certain parts of the beach. There was a pink tree in the park that seemed more peaceful than the rest of the island, but she wasn't feeling the urge for peaceful and made her way over to the swings instead.

Swings were always awesome tyvm even if she was 19. She pulled out her phone, finally punching in the numbers of some people she hadn't seen for way too long. Calls done, Rose pumped her legs, seeing if she could achieve the ever-elusive 360 over the bars and wondered exactly why Lissa had sent her here. It didn't make any more sense than it had before, but she was starting to enjoy the idea more as she kept an eye out for anyone she knew.

[OOC: Open park, feel free to mod a call from Rose if you wish unless you're a STRIGOI. I missed my girl.]

The paperwork had gone through on Eric's purchase of the club, and now he was walking through the space, dictating orders to Pam over his cell phone about the many, many changes he was going to make to the interior.

"And I'll need a bartender, at least for time being," he added. "Find someone down in Area Five who isn't too irritating and sent them to me."

He poked at the sound system--apparently tonight's musical choice was the best of ABBA--and slapped a "HELP WANTED" sign on the front door.

The Devil's Nest wasn't open for business yet, but the boss was in.

Most of the night it was just Tino behind the bar, with Jessica no where to be seen. When she finally strolled in hours late, she rolled her eyes at Tino's glare. "Vampire business," she said. "You wouldn't understand."

The shopping bags she hadn't had time to drop off back at her apartment might've indicated just what that "vampire business" was, however.
